Cruising Vessel
| Cruising Vessel is a performance involving a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Listeners sit within the vehicle, which is stationary for some performances, mobile for others. At its best, Cruising Vessel provides an intimate listening experience that is shared with an incredibly small number of people. It is an attempt not to recreate, but to reference, to pay homage to, the many significant experiences in our life that happen within automobiles. Road trips taken with good friends and new friends, time spent alone driving with no destination, the feeling of freedom that a vehicle provides (which can be taken for granted by those who drive frequently). Because of the intimate nature of Cruising Vessel, recordings will never be distributed. Performances will not be announced in advance.
